Unrest in France: an Interview with Alexis Poulin, Independent Analyst
We explore the unrest in France as of July 2, focusing on facts and solutions
This interview, conducted in English, is with Alexis Poulin, a well-known independent commentator about political developments in France and in Europe.
Mr Poulin holds degrees in political science and European affairs, and has worked as a consultant for both the public and private sectors, before focusing on journalism and commentary.
Today, Alexis Poulin contributes to a variety of media, on TV and social media mostly, and is the chief editor of “Le Monde Moderne” - a French online program that is well-known for its regular and incisive press reviews.
This is obviously not directly about COVID-19, but there are some linkages to be made, as the current unrest in France, like the lockdowns, is having important consequences for our future in terms of freedoms and prosperity.
The interview covers the situation as of Sunday July 2nd, i.e. after 5 days of unrest. Check the video on YouTube below.
New: highlights of the interview, with video footage of the unrest and looting, was prepared by Mr Poulin’s team and can be found at this link on Twitter.
Since the interview was conducted, things seem to have dramatically cooled down in France, yet the risk for similar events to occur again is very significant.
Thank you for this interview.
It seems like morons reign supreme in governments everywhere. You think its just your country but it is everywhere .
